THE PROGRAM
The “Integrity Above Skill Leadership Program” developed in 2008 as a component of Amario’s Art Academy for the Gifted and Talented. It is one of the initiatives to enhance civic responsibility, promote character and excellence while breaking the cycle of incarceration. The primary objectives of the program are to cultivate “Probity” as the youth are encouraged and empowered to become better leaders and followers. Students implement the foundations of leadership, explore problem solving strategies, strategic thinking and develop a leadership development plan for themselves while establishing accountability measures, which positively contribute to the transformation of their communities as they grow in character.
